Abstract:
Lithium, when administered in an alternate day protocol, causes cancer cell Necroptosis. This can be detected and monitored by spot urine Calcium concentration tests. The Lithium action appears to inhibit production &/or maintenance of Glucose transporter(s), causing Glucose starvation. For some patients, treatment may be indefinite. Conclusion: Alternate day Lithium dosing to cancer patients may cause Necroptosis and cell death by inducing a block in cellular glucose uptake.
